The Art of the Build
Episode Three — TM and Cameron’s Reasons Why
Every vineyard has a story behind it — a vision, a purpose, and a reason why it exists. For Cameron and Toni Maree Bishop, Dune Road Vineyard is more than just a project; it’s the culmination of decades of experience, passion, and a desire to create something meaningful for the community and the land.
In Episode Three of The Art of the Build, we explore the “why” behind the vineyard — why this property, why this approach, and why sharing the journey with others is at the heart of everything they do.

The Reasons Behind the Vineyard
TM and Cameron’s journey to this property is shaped by decades of experience across multiple fields — from running a vineyard for fourteen years, to jewellery crafting, stone masonry, precision laser engraving, and building long-standing businesses. Their son, Callvm, adds a unique blend of technical skill and creativity, from aviation to engraving.
Together, their story combines craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and a love of community — all of which guided their decision to start Dune Road Vineyard.
As they say:
“Combine what we’ve learned and what we’d like to leave behind as a legacy. Let’s do it slow. Let’s involve everyone.”
The vineyard is not just about growing grapes; it’s about creating a space where people can connect, learn, and experience the process from soil to glass.
A Vineyard With Purpose
Every decision — from selecting the land to nurturing the vines — reflects their intention to leave a lasting legacy:
-
A vineyard that suits the soil naturally
-
A creative and collaborative environment
-
A place for people to share their passion for wine
-
A journey that celebrates craftsmanship and thoughtful building
By combining their diverse skills with a vision for connection and community, TM and Cameron have created more than a vineyard — they’ve created a space for experience, learning, and joy.
